Field Trip to Canyon Edge Plants, hosted by Neal Hinders

Neal Hinders of Canyon Edge Plants was kind enough to give the Panhandle Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists a guided tour of his Xeriscape Nursery 05-29-2007. The local nursery, owned and operated by Mr. Hinders, consists of native plants and import species, chosen for drought tolerant characteristics that do well in our dry Panhandle weather.

Mr. Hinders answered all of our questions and presented a well rounded discussion of plant species represented in his nursery and demonstration garden. Graphics below represent only a few of the plants we saw and discussed. Common names are given to identify the plant.
