please join us at 8:30 am in front of the visitor center.

I need 3 or 4 volunteers for each of the following field trip dates: May 17, Sanborn elem. 3-5, nature station hike on Riverside Trail; May 18, Lubbock Christian School, 3rd grade, wildlife and nature hike; May 22, Forest Hill Elem. 4th grade, wildlife, cowboy life, Native Amer. History ( not sure we can get everything in); May 23, Rush Elem. 5th grade, Lubbock, nature hike stations and scavenger hunt.
Also on May 19 we will be hosting out Texas Oudoor Family week-end and I will probably need some help with children’s activities in the morning. When I have a definite number of families with children I will let everyone know.
As you can see, most of these are nature hike stations so no one has to be moving with the kids. As in the past we will have volunteers at different places along the Paseo trail and the groups move to them. We hope to have to dugout furnished by May and that will be a good stop for them. I may also have a cowboy resource trunk by that time and will be able to use it too so that can be a station which I will have to man because we are using it as a pilot program and it has to be evaluated.
This is rather long but wanted everyone to have an opportunity to get some hours in. If you want to sign up for a specific date, please send me an email and I will put your name down. I know things come up and sometimes you are unable to fulfill your commitment and I understand that. All of these groups come in the morning and you will be finished by noon
